Dear One – on the days you feel anxious, ask yourself what you have been doing differently to precipitate such a change in your emotional state. We would guess, and it is hardly a guess, that daily disciplines have been allowed to slide and meditation, which is so critical for your maintenance, has been forgotten. Are we correct? If so, you are already ready to find that attitude adjustment that you finally want. Have you noticed how sometimes it seems to feel comfortable, albeit, not good, to sit in the darkness and take no steps to raise your vibration you wonder why this is. It is a gentle reminder, via your emotional state, that Constant Contact with spirit is critical, crucial, to knowing joy. Once you have found that place of joy, you are acutely aware of when it seems out of reach. And isn’t it true that you look for the reasons behind your discomfort outside yourself? You blame, you find another person upon whom you can hang your anger, you wallow in lack. Remember the days when feeling like this was all consuming – when it was constant and pervasive? Then you saw a light glimpse of truth…of spirit…and you began to feel a tiny bit better. and you wanted more of the better feelings. You became unwilling to sit in your dark hole for very long. Today, we see you becoming anxious and angry quickly when your light is dimmed and we see its intensity has grown – but only that intensity serves to push you to find your way out of the darkness – back to joy – more quickly and more efficiently. YOU KNOW WHAT WORKS!!!
Right you don’t always choose immediately to do what you know works to bring you into the light once more. But you don’t last in the darkness as long and you don’t fall as deeply into it. The darkness is no longer the norm – it is now the anomaly. Once a soul has known the joy of living in the light it can no longer be comfortable in the darkness. It is a truth.
So you found someone to blame for your ‘misery’. You yelled a bit – you swore a bit – and you soon tired of those negative emotions. They simply no longer bring you any satisfaction. They are no longer fitting like comfortable old shoes.
What joy there is in knowing this. In knowing that with a deep breath, a face turned towards the light, a releasing of all that is weighing on you (we gladly take it from you every time), a spiritual ‘walking away’ from that which happened yesterday or may (or may not) happen tomorrow, in knowing all of this there is great freedom.
Yes. It takes concentration – maybe a little. And it takes a desire to return to joy. But once Joy is known, nothing, absolutely nothing, satisfies.
Smile. Know Joy. There is nothing IN THIS MOMENT that has the power to take Joy from you. Know this and thrive.
